This week we have compiled a summary of recently released features and functions. It is based on the newsletter from January 2022 with the title: Outlook on Upcoming Features and Functions — January 2022 Edition. The following topics were announced as the focus of our development:

  • Selected charging rate as default
  • Extend categories of fixed costs
  • Extend and optimize the unit conversion
  • Entering a charging session manually without SoC Start / End

Here is a summary of the results:

Selected charging rate as default

For vehicles without access to location information, charging rates can now be marked as default. This rate will then be automatically assigned to all future battery charges. This approach will further simplify and optimize the management and assessment of charging costs.

Extend categories of fixed costs

With the automatic calculation of charging costs via TRONITY, and the manual maintenance of fixed costs, all relevant vehicle costs can be presented and analyzed in TRONITY. To provide more flexibility in data management, we have extended the existing categories to include financing, leasing, accident and vehicle maintenance.

Extend and optimize the unit conversion

At the moment the TRONITY user interface is not always fully consistent with regard to the presentation of units. Thanks to the migration to the new TRONITY user interface and database technology, we have been able to address this topic and now support additional units and formats.

Entering a charging session manually without SoC Start / End

When entering a charging session manually, it is currently necessary to enter the state of charge (SoC) at the start and end of the charging session, as well as the mileage. Since this information is not always easy to determine in retrospect, this input is now optional.
