We are excited to introduce a new type of vehicle integration. This has been implemented in collaboration with Tesla in TRONITY, and we will gradually enable affected users for this new approach.
What’s new and why is this exciting for non-Tesla drivers as well?
In the current implementation, vehicle data is retrieved from the servers of the vehicle manufacturers. The vehicle sends the data to the manufacturer, and TRONITY can retrieve and process the data on behalf of the users.
In contrast, the collaboration with Tesla now enables an integration in TRONITY where the vehicle sends the data directly to TRONITY! The vehicle decides when data is sent, allowing data access every 30 seconds 🤯, unlike the current 3–5 minute intervals.
Additionally, there are many other benefits. For example, the vehicle can take its own energy management into account, preventing unnecessary battery drain during data transmission.
We are excited about this new innovation and see in our dialogues with vehicle manufacturers that technology and data processing are developing effectively.
